Who Qualifies For The Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.
Applications at the moment are open and can shut on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to satisfy the subsequent criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a home with a combined gross house earnings that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic revenue would not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not post any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent residents from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
Applicants are reminded to offer the proper Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored inside their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are studying or intend to study in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
